Parque de la Memoria  |  Art Exhibition Catalogs

2018-2026

Editorial design for a series of exhibition catalogs for Sala PAyS (Presentes, Ahora y Siempre), located within the Parque de la Memoria in Buenos Aires. This public space serves as a major memorial to the victims of State Terrorism and houses a rigorous program of contemporary art and education focused on human rights, memory, and political history.

The visual identity of the catalogs is defined by a minimalist and solemn aesthetic that honors the gravity of the site while allowing the diverse contemporary artworks to take center stage. The editorial system employs a clean, structured layout with an emphasis on negative space and purposeful typography, mirroring the architectural silence of the memorial. Each publication is conceived as a portable archive, balancing curatorial essays with high-quality photographic documentation to bridge the gap between historical record and artistic expression.

Imágenes con historia  |  Book Design

2022

Editorial design for Imágenes con Historia, a landmark book produced by the Research Department of the Parque de la Memoria. The publication is the culmination of a years-long collective project that gathered personal photographs of victims of State Terrorism in Argentina, submitted by their families and friends. These archival materials were later intervened by visual artist Marcelo Brodsky, creating a powerful narrative that spans across activism, family life, celebrations, and intimate portraits.

The design challenge centered on creating a respectful yet dynamic space for these restored identities. The layout balances the raw, emotional power of the intervened photographs with rigorous historical data, aiming to symbolically reconstruct the fragments of lives interrupted by the dictatorship. The editorial system uses a delicate typographic hierarchy to integrate the visual archives with essays by prominent figures such as Albertina Carri, Martín Kohan, and Ana Longoni.

Vraiment Jazz   |   Festival Identity

2016

Visual identity and poster series for Vraiment Jazz, a jazz festival held in Montreal, Canada. The project explores the historical evolution of the genre—from Dixieland and Bebop to Free Jazz—using typography as the primary tool to represent the distinct rhythm and structure of each era.

The design system is rooted in a strict modular grid that provides a formal foundation, contrasting with the expressive and deconstructed letterforms. This tension reflects the nature of jazz itself: a balance between technical precision and creative improvisation. By utilizing a high-contrast black-and-white palette and varying typographic weights, the posters translate musical concepts like syncopation, tempo, and harmony into a compelling visual language.

Noir  |   Editorial Design

2020

Editorial design and art direction for Noir, an independent publication dedicated to the intersection of contemporary fashion, visual arts, and minimalist lifestyle. The project was conceived as a high-end editorial object that prioritizes atmospheric storytelling over traditional commercial layouts, targeting a creative and design-conscious audience.

The visual system is built upon a high-contrast aesthetic and a sophisticated use of negative space, allowing the photography to dictate the rhythm of each spread. A carefully selected serif typography provides a classic yet modern touch, balancing the boldness of the full-page imagery with refined informational blocks. The production choices—including a matte finish and a specific paper weight—were designed to enhance the tactile experience, reinforcing Noir’s identity as a collectible piece of print media that celebrates the «less is more» philosophy in modern publishing.

Michel Foucault   |   Editorial Design

2019

An editorial exploration and special edition monograph dedicated to the life and philosophical legacy of Michel Foucault. The project challenges the conventions of academic publishing by translating complex post-structuralist theories into a cohesive visual system that emphasizes the concepts of order, discourse, and power.

The design is centered around a rigorous typographic grid, symbolizing the institutional structures Foucault often critiqued. This architectural layout is disrupted by experimental page compositions and a high-contrast palette of black, white, and a singular accent color, used to categorize different thematic «layers» of his work. Large-scale quotes and deconstructed portraits serve as visual landmarks throughout the publication, creating a dialogue between the density of the philosophical text and the openness of modern editorial design.
